In a surprise announcement the Junta de Andalucía’s meeting of the Public Health Alert committee of the Junta de Andalucía this Thursday (18 February) has brought forward the easing of the restrictive measures to midnight instead of the planned introduction on Saturday.
“The good evolution of the incidence data in Andalusia has made it possible to bring forward the entry into force of the new measures by one day”, clarifies the Junta.
This means, that six of the eight municipalities of Campo de Gibraltar are allowed to abandon the perimeter closure from this midnight Thursday (18 February). The citizens of La Línea, San Roque, Jimena and Los Barrios will be able to leave their towns to other towns that do not suffer this restriction. To move from one municipality to another it is necessary that both the origin and destination localities are below 500 cases.
According to this it will not be possible to move to Algeciras and Castellar, both being above 500 points and they will continue with the mobility restriction for another week.
In Malaga province – in addition to the city – another 25 towns and villages will be allowed to reopen their municipal borders as coronavirus mobility restrictions are eased.
