A man was found shot in the knee in the port of Sotogrande

A man wounded by a gunshot was rescued in the early morning of Sunday in the port of Sotogrande and was transferred to the hospital of La Linea.

The health services had been alerted of the presence of a man in the area of the jetty of the port of Sotogrande, wounded in the knee, apparently shot by a gunshot, as described by the health workers who attended him.

Due to the area where he was, on the jetty next to the helicopter port, which is difficult to access, the health services requested the presence of the fire brigade to rescue him. The firefighters managed to rescue the injured individual, a young man, who was taken by the medical services to the hospital in La Línea but he requested later his transfer to a hospital in Marbella.

The Guardia Civil in Malaga is currently conducting an investigation to try to clarify the facts.
