All the municipalities of the region fall below 500 cases of Covid incidence

The incidence of the eight municipalities of Campo de Gibraltar is now below 500 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, a circumstance that is occurring for the first time in the whole of 2021. The last weekend has helped Algeciras and Castellar, the only two that had not yet fallen below this barrier, to be below this figure. If they manage to stay below that point by Thursday, the day on which the measures are updated, the perimeter closure that continues to apply to both will be reopened.

The weekend has resulted in 158 new positives in the whole region, 89 of which have been added in Algeciras. The rest have been added in San Roque (23), Los Barrios (21), La Línea (17) Tarifa (5), Jimena (2), Castellar (1). Unfortunately, nine other deaths associated with the coronavirus have been recorded.
