The Junta de Andalucía, following a proposal by the Regional Committee for High Impact on Public Health, has decided to restrict access to the interior of nightclubs to people who can present a valid EU-COVID digital certificate or a negative diagnostic test (antigen test or PCR).
This was announced by the Minister of Health, Jesús Aguirre, after the meeting of the expert committee in Malaga on Monday, chaired by the Chairwoman of the Board, Juanma Moreno, in which it was decided to extend the measures adopted a fortnight ago.
Unfortunately, this shows once again that there is little willingness among politicians to look beyond their own frontiers, because otherwise they would have realized from the example of Gibraltar that vaccination neither protects against getting infected nor against becoming seriously ill or dying. The entire population of Gibraltar is vaccinated, yet the incidence is around 900.
So what is the point of this certificate if not controlling the population?
